Gennady Kozak obtained a B.A. in philosophy from Columbia University in the City of New York.
After graduation, he was living in Ukraine and teaching English. Once a son was born to him, he became interested in 3D printing, as that seemed the most direct way of making toys for his son. The first 3D printer he put together himself, with the help of his 7-year-old son. Since that time, he was teaching 3D modelling, first using Blender, then Google SketchUp.
After his stint at a Kids Computer Academy in Kiev, he became more interested in designing things in Tinkercad, and Fusion 360.
To add life to his toys, he became interested in programming in Arduino. Thus, came to life many robots, based on Arduino Uno and Arduino Nano.
Once a war started between Russia and Ukraine, Gennady relocated to New York, with his son. As he is an avid sailor, he bought a sailing boat and designed for it an autopilot based on Raspberry Pi.
In 2022-2023, he was working for Ramaz school, where he picked up coding for kids (Code.Org, and Scratch).
Currently, he is working on a project involving a robotic boat that will deliver people from shore to their sailboats, parked on a mooring ball.
