COURSE CURRICULUM
This course is great for both beginner or immediate level art schools.
In each lesson we will explore the 7 elements of art. The 7 elements of art are line, shape, form, space, texture, value, and color.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Lesson 1
Color Theory
Pigments are intensely colored compounds.
Hue ,Shade, Tint
The saturation of a color is its degree of purity.
Modeling is the creation of a sense of depth; it can be achieved by gradations of dark and light or through
color contrast.
Optical mixing.
Lesson 2
Line Work
By analyzing types of lines used in various works of art to help students understand how artists use line to convey movement and mood. They will then create an abstract line art piece. They may pick a piece of music or a dance or an activity, this will inform their art piece.
Lesson 3
Shapes through Surrealism
In this lesson we will be exploring shapes in nature and around us. Combining geometric shapes(square, triangle) with biomorphic(clouds, leaves) shapes. We will be discussing artists like Matisse and Picasso. They will use these elements to create a piece based on a place they love.
Lesson 4
Form in still life
Forms are shapes in three dimensions. Example : Circle —> Sphere. We will be discussing the different form found in nature and in our city. Exploring everything from skyscrapers to trees.
