Environmental Artist
Michael Ivanov was born in Leningrad, (now St. Petersburg) in a family of artists, October 1, 1975
Since childhood, showed interest in pencils and paints.
During school years, attended art school. After graduating from high school, entered a restoration technical school for a cabinetmaker.
1995 – 1997 Military service.
From 1997 to 2007 Worked as an installer at the Hermitage
In 2007 emigrated to the USA.
Currently living in Brooklyn New York
From an early age he had access to catalogs of various artists who had a great influence on him.
Especially influenced by such artists as: Bosch, Dali, Magritte, Shemyakin and many others.
In the 90s he was a member of the Ingermanland artists and participated in several joint exhibitions.
He sent some of his works to his father in New York, which he exhibited in his gallery “Orange Bear”
In 2002 he had a solo exhibition in St. Petersburg in the gallery, “Borey”
In 2013, the exhibition in St. Petersburg in the Botanical Garden
In 2015, an exhibition in the Brooklyn Library
In 2016, a joint exhibition in New Jersey in “MORA”(Museum of Russian Art)
