Manasvini Nayar
ILLUSTRATION & DISIGN INSTRUCTOR
Hi!
My name is Manasvini Nayar and I’m a recent graduate of Parsons School of Design.
I majored in Illustration design and spent my four years exploring 2D, 3D and 4D (Animation) design.
I have majored in Illustration design but also work as a graphic designer and Typographer.
My work is a mix of digital and analog illustration and fine rat pieces.
I work with the social cause of women as objects and make work that encourages an empowered and independent attitude.
I love listening to and learning from young minds that flourish in excitement as they explore their imagination through shapes, colors and perspectives.
About My Courses
Through my courses, I want to encourage not only learning new technical/artistic skills but also a different approach to seeing and perspectives and be able to bridge the gap between dreams and reality.
These courses are a combination of skill, social and modern relevance and a connection to art history and contemporary and classical artists.
Most importantly these projects will encourage students to use recycled materials or learn how to upcycle everyday objects, and understand that being an artist is about a way of thinking and not a material based skill.
- Deconstructing Photoshop ( Introduction to basic concepts of layering, color/shape masking and cropping. We will use paper to study photoshop techniques such a collage and photomontage and build a way of thinking out of the box)
- DIY with nature ( Learning to recycle and upcycle everyday materials – using a Halloween mask and other projects)
- Intro to Typography ( Intro to making letterforms with not just ink and paint but pictures, other letters and blocking and patterning if colors)

very supportive and creative
I struggle a lot in the digital aspects of my work and I feel like she’s very patient and very attentive when teaching her students without brushing over the details. She also gives good critique that helped me open my eyes to the perspective of art that I wasn’t really seeing before.
Great designer and colleague!
Mani always gives 110% and her dedication to her work shows in the product! A pleasure to both work alongside and also work with as a design client – Especially her attention to detail and ease of communication.
Highly recommended
Manasvini is a great teacher, she breaks things down in a way that I found very easy to follow along. She really encourages you to be creative and explore, and I had a lot of fun learning her techniques of upcycling everyday objects.

Amazing teacher!
Mani was an excellent instructor during my photography course. She was always incredibly patient and helpful, and she taught me many Photoshop and Illustrator techniques. Apart from that, Mani is really one of the kindest and most dedicated people I know, and I am glad I got to learn from her!
Excellent Teacher
Manasvini is an excellent instructor, whose expertise in the illustration design field is highly respectable. She is a stronger listener and teaches to one’s own pace and learning capabilities. I highly recommend taking a course with her!
Teacher
A great motivator and mentor and extremely helpful.
AMAZING!
Mani was a great instructor during my digital and film photography class; she is so kind and patient. She explains difficult concepts (such as on photoshop) so simply and skillfully. Aside from her teaching skills, I grew such an appreciation for what a wonderful person she is, and enjoyed coming to class just to talk to her!
Strongly recommended!
I’ve completed multiple online courses on digital illustrations but all are unparalleled to Manasvini’s. Her teaching techniques are quite insightful as well as relatable and easily comprehensible. She brings a certain flair to the world of digital illustrations and her professional techniques are quite in touch with the real world of art. I feel that her dedication and commitment by ensuring my progress really allowed me to learn better. I hardly think other instructors online, in my experience, are as invested in the student’s learning as she is.
