LIST OF COURSES I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER
1) World Music Intro
Contemporary ethnical music styles and traditions with deep roots in the past. During our course you will learn how to create a soundscape from non-organised sounds, what’s the connection between Apartheid and Sud-African music tradition, What music inspired people to kill during Balkan conflicts, Why Japanese teens prefer K’pop over J-pop, how Alan Lomax found the best blues singers in US jails, etc.
2) Classical music intro
During this course you will learn about best and not-so-much known works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and their contemporaries, we will discover a bit of private life facts, such as why Salieri didn’t kill Mozart, and why Donizetti thought that Rossini was a very lazy composer.
2a) Personal sessions dedicated, by request of a student, on theory or history of music, of any level. (It can be: solfeggio, elementary theory of music, harmony, polyphony; explanation of certain historical musicological problems)

3) Russian culture and music intro
Only for those who are not acquainted that much with Russian culture. Myths and truth about Russian culture (i.e. contemporary music – art – theatre/performance), best and worst examples of Russian pop culture explained.
4) Italian culture and music intro
Italian culture is not only about Italian opera. You will learn about what’s going on in the actual contemporary culture of this, why everyone is sick of tourism, and what kinds of new initiatives happen right now!
